Annette O'Toole spent her childhood in the Houston studio run by her mother. When she was just 2 she appeared for the first time on television when she was a kid on the Don Mahoney Show for Kids. She was 13 when, having ten years of vocal and dancing training in her past, she and her mother travelled for a trip to L.A. for a year to see if she could have a career in show business. In less than two months she secured her first job that was paid, singing in the Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. The actress says she's made use of her singing and dancing talents in numerous ways. It's a fantastic discipline for actors." O'Toole's first role on screen in My Three Sons was followed by performances in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. In the past, she's played in more than 40 series For all her success on television and film her greatest love remains the theatre. After her six-year stint in Smallville O'Toole made the decision to devote her time to theatre and acting, which she'd been doing over the last decade. When she moved in New York, she had her first performance as a seagull in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in a variety of off Broadway productions including Adam Rapp's "Kindness", Tracy Letts Man from Nebraska as well as Tennessee Williams A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
