Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. Her father taught at school, as did her mother, who was a homemaker. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from an early age. She put on shows with puppets to entertain her friends. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. Her first major role came in 1964, which was when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It up and It's Broken in The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked out of a crowd of over 1500 children who had auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded girls on the new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. This show lasted for five years. McCormick revealed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year duration of the show. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that in season five on the show she almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams. This would have occurred according to her. But, the time for our relationship was not right.
